Cheltenham Spa to Edinburgh Waverley

We had a very straightforward journey home to Edinburgh today - apart from at the very start when Jackie forgot that we were setting off from the railway station at Cheltenham Spa and almost deposited us at Gloucester(!)

While Mr hazelh watched television programmes (downloaded to his iPad) on the train, I made a start on a journal article. I was really pleased with my progress: with 2000+ words written over the course of the 6-hour journey I'm about a quarter of the way through the task. I'm now fired up to continue work on the article tomorrow (even though I don't work Mondays and Tuesday - but I do love writing!)

There was an interesting invitation to a work black tie dinner waiting for me on the mat when I reached home. I'm really disappointed that the event is the week after next. I will miss it because that's when I will be away in Brazil with work.
