Where the Bu Burn joins Scapa Flow

A very good day.  Into Kirkwall for the ‘Floozie in the Jacuzzi’ and other dances, then I was allowed to have a toastie for lunch in KW. 

I then went to see my Mum who has got her paperwork in a raffle.  She still has her dog licences and some clothing coupons filed under ‘Cooncil Tax’. 

Travelling home I noticed a handful of whelk pickers in the bay - very low water and outstanding prices for whelks meantime.  Cold, backbreaking work but currently very well paid.

I have lifted a well-established asparagus crown from the tunnel and will take it into dancing tonight for Claire.
