Two Crows

This tree is usually the favourite perch of our wood-pigeon population. They are noticeably plump and we wonder how this slender weeping birch can take their considerable weight. 

This morning the rooks were in possession.  They can be quite assertive - have they scared the pigeons away - or have they had to move somewhere
sturdier?

It has been a very quiet day here. In the last hour it has started to snow again. Maybe we will wake to a white world tomorrow - a last bite of winter before Spring arrives on Wednesday.
