To the best of my understanding a four year old child was taken ill a couple of weeks ago. One week later she was diagnosed with leukaemia and this week she died. Carnival has been cancelled all across the island.

I expect she was a poppet and had a great outfit ready for carnival. I expect a lot of four year olds and older will be disappointed not to be able to dress up and have fun. I am glad for her sake that her suffering was mercifully brief, but the suddenness can only have made it that much more shocking for those who loved her.
