Notre Dame +Chimneys
Our friend Franck invited us to an excellent lunch today, featuring scallops and much more; see the extra. His daughter Lorraine is in the burgundy shirt (Franck also appears, with his other daughter Camille, in this dinner blip at Thierry's last month).
The main blip is a zoomed shot of Notre Dame looking along Rue Chemin Vert in the 11th arrondisement (see the map--we were on the 6th floor); I love Paris's chimneys :) After lunch we visited a fascinating exhibition on Haussmann's transformation of Paris between 1853 and 1870. We will return to it, and I'll have more to say then.
