Six years of spring
Today is the sixth 1st September I have blipped.
Today is the first 1st September where I am not blipping a daffodil.
Tradition has had it that I blip a daff on the first day of spring, but after five years of blipping, I have decided to break that tradition ... this year anyway.
I was having a rather lovely lie-in when the phone rang. It was B's mum. She had just spotted a whole flock of Wax Eyes amongst the plum blossom.
Of course, when I arrived there wasn't a Wax Eye to be seen. Then, slowly they all headed back. It was a sight to behold. This was my favourite one.
Welcome spring! We hope you're here to stay awhile.
I'm just watching Heston on the TV, doing things with chicken's genitalia and wild boar heads. Probably best not to go there. Don't try this at home!
Happy first day of spring to all you NZ/Oz blippers!
