Bridging the Gap

Contrary to the weather forecast, we saw a fair but of sun this morning and took the chance for a run over to check out the new bridge. Although the decking is all complete, there is much work still to do before the Grand Opening.
While sunny, it was quite windy and we could tell that more rain was not really too far away.
And so it was, a stiff breeze and intermittent heavy showers all day.
We were delighted to get a phone call from Fiona to say we could drop in if we were out and about. James as usual, was delighted to see us and happily presented us with books and toys and sat up on my knee for a story from one of his book, "The Little Blue Truck". When we left, James was hanging out the window(safely held by Lyall) waving bye bye.(See MaggieD's blip)
