Holiday Reading

As a consequence of my recent birthday, the pile of reading matter on my bedside table seems to have reached tower proportions.

The latest addition to the top of the pile was a present from my sister and brother-in-law when they came for lunch today. Tess & I are off to Costa Rica in just under three weeks time and this book is a collection of literary short stories by Costa Rican writers, translated from the original Spanish, which evoke the spirit of different regions of the country, many of which we'll be visiting. Looking forward to reading this one - and to the trip rekindling my blip mojo.

This is a second attempt at the holiday we had to cancel this time last year when Tess's Dad passed away. Tess reckons we may be in danger of having to cancel it again this year in the increasingly likely event of me becoming the first man to be fatally injured in bed by a falling pile of books :)

We we enjoyed a very leisurely lunch followed by England's entertaining and tactically highly unusual victory overly Italy.
