I turned up at Flotterstone expecting a Harriers "social run", but the leader had got his schedule mixed up and no-one was there. Hence I had to set out alone. I'd wanted a long run without excessive climb, and the gale force wind would have made the summits tricky places to run. So I ploughed my way through the water and mud which constituted the trails round the base of the hills.

"Interesting" to watch England beat Italy, and exciting to hear United win the League Cup!
