Dwarfed

Escaped again today.
We`re National Trust members and there are loads of places around here to visit. Unfortunately, the other two prefer shops and pubs to a bit of history and architecture.
Haven`t visited Fountains Abbey for many years and it`s now linked to Studley Park so you get 2 for 1 in effect
Another sunny day and it was fascinating walking round these stunning ruins, tagging onto a guided tour and learning all about Henry V111 and the Dissolution of the Monastries.
The sheer scale of the place is staggering given what they had to work with
