Workers: South Docks

Cold weather holding. Sluggish start to the day. I didn't get out except briefly in the afternoon, for a doctor's appointment in Dún Laoghaire (my wife took the wean over to visit some friends in Lucan). When I saw a band of pale orange light in the bluegrey evening clouds, I suddenly felt the need to take some pictures. Around 4 p.m. I managed to get over to the docks before returning to my evening domestic obligations. I drove into the compound near where Billy & Family had their caravan (which seems to have gone). I knocked on the door of a prefab at the top of some steps and met these guys, Thomas, Séan and Dick, who were happy to chat and let me poke my lens in their noses. Thanks guys.

Here's a couple of other shots from the same location:

The crane on the left is brand new. The workers pointed out to me that it has been christened (in big black official letters) the RONNIE DREW.
Before leaving I drover over to this big ship, in the process of being LOADED
