Driving home today i spotted this Bentley and it reminded me of a wonderful day i had at the Bentley factory around 10 years ago...

My charge card issuer offered at day out at the Bentley factory. We were allowed to have a look at the Bentley's that won at La Mans, then a Bentley driver took me out in a Continental GT and drove me round the streets of Crewe, then we swapped seat and i had a go. After driving around for about half an hour i was told to stop in a lay-by, he then said when it's clear put you foot to the floor... WOW!!! we hit treble figures so quick - amazing for a 2 ton car.

We went back to the factory and had lunch and then had a tour of the factory...

It was a really fun day... although not much fun chugging home in my Land Rover...
