Flor da Rosa

The annual trip to the Portuguese Orienteering Meeting was nearly a disaster when the Pousada we booked a year ago realised they had not allocated us a room. With thousands of orienteers descending on little villages in Eastern Portugal, accommodation is completely booked up for miles around. They managed to find us a suite in a really old fashioned Portuguese hotel, in the same village, that has never heard of Booking.com so the orienteers had not found it.  And son R is delighted because there is  a double bed for him in the suite which beats the "hard floor" he had booked at the event centre.  This is sunset in Flor da Rosa which we managed to catch as we arrived.
