Caught my first train in some years, as I couldn't drive home from the hospital following my carpal tunnel release surgery. That's my third surgical operation in just over a year and the care I've had at all stages has been incredible. The current government are determined to carve up the National Health Service so their buddies in business can make billions in profit but ultimately we, the normal folk, will suffer.
Underfunding, and a lot of crap on the news about immigration isn't helping, as many of the marvellous NHS workers come from abroad to work on it. My surgeon was Egyptian and one of my nurses was from Chicago. Of course, the local nurse from Garvagh was just as lovely.
