Sparkling sunshine

It's the big Carnaval parade tonight. This is the "Allegorical" parade and a huge amount of professional work goes into it. Nine organisations have spent many months preparing and from nine o'clock this evening the floats will process with wonderful samba dancing, exotic costumes and huge passion.

I'll be going down to watch part of it. They start from the roundabout at the bottom of our hill. I'll spend some time, and then head off back to watch it on TV.

This morning I made the most of the luscious sunshine and sparkle. I took the bus to the Zarco statue (extra) and then just enjoyed pottering - and stopping for lunch and a glass of wine.
