Cafe Riche, Downtown Cairo

Back blip

A rare treat when Nicola and I both had a night free of marking assignments for me and free of classes for her as it was a training day.   She usually has classes till 9.45pm.  We headed downtown to Cafe Riche, one of the institutions here in Cairo. It's been on our blip before and tends to be frequented by writers, artists and journalists.  I'd come more if it weren't for the smoke.  Tonight we wanted comfort food and so chicken, chips and Greek salad did the job nicely.
