Snowmare

A quick pic taking from the back door. I think half the country had a snowmare today. I don't understand it, a bit of snow falls and people loose their minds and all sensibility. Shortly after I took the picture a load more snow got dumped on us, however I left early expecting the motorway to be a bit slower than usual. Was fine on the M9, got to the 876 and it was standstill. People were driving on the hard shoulder and it was all a bit crazy, turned out they'd closed the M80 both directions. Because of snow. Really? It's not like they didn't know it was coming! Anyway my 10-15 min journey took me 40 mins and I was running into the department at 10 past 9 worried about being late. Turned out I was actually one of the first to get there. Had a bit of a crazy morning with half of our area stuck on the motorway, as unfortunately they were all coming from Glasgow direction. One girl didn't make it into work, she got desperate and had to pee in a field after being stuck for hours so turned back. The other two girls made it into the department around 12/12.30. I felt my 40 min journey wasn't so bad after all. Anyway all very dramatic then it had all but melted by 5.

Small group this evening was a lovely mixture of banter and encouragement (and snacks). We were looking at being too busy, and what we do with our time. I am definitely guilty of always being "too busy". I need to look more closely at what it is I'm busying myself with, and use my time more wisely so that I have time for others. Could definitely do with cutting back screen time!
