Painted Sage

A mixed weather sort of day, and the leg warmers have stayed on.
A little bit of pottering in the garden and this Painted Sage ( Salvia) has come into flower this week.

Last year we went with Flopsy & Mr F to Gooderstone Water Gardens in Norfolk and saw these growing in the grounds they looked really nice clustered together in shades of pink , mauve & blue.

So not knowing what they were called started searching everywhere for the name, eventually tracked it down & found some seeds and this is the result not exactly a bunch, hopefully they will seed themselves & next year I'll have a few more.
