Culture Shock

Went to Spain today, as you do... when you only live 7km from the border -  to Badajoz, to be precise, which has our nearest big shops. M wanted to check out building materials (we live in hope), and I wanted to dream about boats, or at least a little inflatable... I'm telling you, we felt like country bumpkins in the big city - the contrast with Mourão... it's like two different centuries.

Blip is of one of the bridges over the Guadiana, the river that was dammed to make our Alqueva Lake. No building materials - or boats - were purchased, but the Spanish food was good.
