I liked the colours and textures in this image. It's not that common to see water lilies flowering in these parts.
Last night, I listened to the writer Fiona Melrose talk about her book, Midwinter. She offered a few interesting insights: she told the audience that she has never been able to spell properly, so writes phonetically, and keeps up her lexicon by reading a lot of poetry.
