Journeying...

Dear Diary,

It was 57F yesterday so more melting.  But my backyard still remains a vast blank white canvas.  I have been thinking more and more about my labyrinth.  Once the snow melts and the ground is passable Andy will come and take up the turf.  David will loan me his trailer and Matt will gather field stones on the back edge of my property.  It will be a multi-person process!

This is the plan of my labyrinth, a simple 6 circuit one.  I drew it in my Commonplace Book and added some of my favorite quotes.  I have been working on the book too these long winter days.  I started a new page yesterday but Emerson, in his enthusiasm for "helping", knocked over my drink and ruined the page.  Lesson learned.  Moving pencils, liquids and cats don't mix!

It will take some time to build the labyrinth.  I can only move one rock at a time but it will be worth it in the end.  I have walked labyrinths all around the world but to have one in my own back yard will be wonderful.  I hope my friends will come and use it too.  Solvitur Ambulato: It is solved by walking.
