Farewell to Iain

We held our quarterly meeting with the 22 Area Conveners from across Scotland this day. These are the volunteers who lead the local management teams which help run Scotland's youth justice and welfare.

The turn out was impressive given Storm Doris while there were some obvious absentees given the travel problems. Good debate as ever about the challenges and choices we face. Some not so much about what we need to do but more about how we go about doing so with the resources available. And what might have to make.

One person present for the last time in his current role was Iain Gillespie from Inverclyde. A former police officer Iain always brought common sense and stability and a good sense of humour to our discussions. He will be missed and we all wished him well.
