pulling wild onions

The top photo is the one I took Monday and posted on blip.  Those are wild onions that Peace is sitting amongst.  This little area that has my snowdrops and canna lilies in it but because I was gone last summer it is now overwhelmed with wild onions.  Even after a couple of washings, my hands still stink!  They grow in little patches all over our lawn which drives me crazy and is bad enough.

Below is the little area after I pulled all the wild onions.  Of course the first thing that happens when that nice fine soil was revealed was Spirit came and rolled around in it.  Ugh!

I was outside in the yard at 8am and came in again at 1pm.  I planted; 4 peonies, 6 black eyed susan, 2 bleeding hearts, 12 lily of the valley and 10 lily bulbs.

By the time I came inside at 1pm I could barely stand far less walk!  I sat and cooled off under the ceiling fan for 1/2 hour before by friend Arlene came by.  She was happy with the colour of the beads I had picked but she wants smaller sized ones as she only wants an 18" necklace.  We picked out some beads and I will go store hunting for some more. :-)

At 4pm I finally felt it safe to have a shower on my own, so now I am showered and ready for bed!  I will check out everyone's blips first and then head for bed.  I'm tired, and not sure why!! :D
