Oh what an absolutely fantastic day we have had today!! :D

Despite the iffy looking forecast, I took Asha, Arwen, my sister in law Dawn and her youngest/my niece Bernie to Colchester Zoo and we had an absolute blast!! We didn't even care that it drizzled then rained on & off all day, we were having just too much fun to care. Asha was over the moon to see elephants, Dawn loved seeing the bigs cats & I saw giraffes :D Bernie & Arwen loved everything especially spending the day together as they hadn't seen each other for 4 weeks!! (Bernie had spent most of her summer holiday with her sisters in Milton Keynes)

We arrived at the zoo at about 11.20-ish and left at roughly 5.30pm. The traffic both ways wasn't bad and considering I've never driven there before it was a relatively easy drive.

Anyway, this is one of the Amur Tigers, they are from Russia and just beautiful. I caught this snap, just as he jumped up at the perspex (I think that's what it is) window to see what we were all looking at. I could have chosen so many of the wonderful animals, birds etc that we saw there today but I think this one is my favourite :)
