Rose at the door

The back to school routine is taking it's toll on the little ones and a mix of excitement, adrenalin, nervous energy and exhaustion means they are taking a-g-e-s to get to sleep.

I was stuck upstairs with them for hours tonight and missed most of the gorgeous evening outside but I did manage to sneak down to the kitchen at one point and when I was there I noticed the reddening sky of the sunset outside. I nipped out to take a photo of the sky but this gorgeous rose caught my eye.
