Another episode of disappointed sunset chaser.  The air still heavy with the Sahara dust. All day long it's hazy everywhere. Can't really see the mountains around since the visibility is so low. This is what they call "calima" here. I don't know if it's a substantive or adjective, or if it's the whole phenomenon of the African dust that covers the sky. It's a good day to take photos of calima sunset they say.

So we tried. We drove to Santa Pola salt lagoons. Flamingos were far away. I did catch some in photos too

We had some rain last night. All the cars are covered in red sandy dust. So are everything outside. There still might be some rain ahead with the dust particles, so no rush to wash anything yet. But I'm very much hoping the calima will end and we can get back to our normal views. It was very nice today otherwise. 18°C - warm Sahara air. Very summery feel to it.

Ps. and this really is the sun in the picture. Not the moon. Here's what it looks like with a better view!
