Tread With Care

In case anyone anywhere in the universe was unaware, Storm Doris is paying us a visit today.

Awoke expecting the Antarctic to have moved overnight to West Lothian but was a tad disappointed to see a light dusting at best when I peeked through the curtains.

This was more than enough to cause traffic turmoil on the way to work but in truth the snow's very wet and heavy and will be gone soon.

I was hopeful of a nice snowy blip at lunchtime but by then the snow was rapidly becoming grey slush.

My walk was short lived as when I neared the weir, my feet went from under me and I made the rest of the trip my backside.

Blips were restricted to 2 shots taken before my downhill, bum numbing slide, ironically of firm footprints in the snow/slush.

A cold uncomfortable afternoon beckons :-(
