Back To The Marshwalk

We stopped over at The Marshwalk early evening today just to take a look around and see if any progress has been made. 

The dredging of the inlet is still taking place and will continue for another month or so.
Because of that many of the docks and hurricane busted walkways have not been replaced and likely won't be until the dredging is completed.

We were surprised how many people were out and hitting the Marshwalk bars and restaurants. If the mild weather continues it should be a busy Spring and by summer the place will be more jammed than usual I expect.

We also saw Mullet who was clearly distracted from his duties at The Mullet Hut and was in hot pursuit of a sneaky mousie.

I realized I hadn't blipped Goat Island in a while and it remains looking rather lonely without it's summer goat residents.
We also saw the male peacock out there but the four females have not been seen since the Oct. hurricane.
