Bitts Park #7

The Rhododendrons are looking superb in the park at the moment.  Also in flower are daffodils and crocuses but couldn’t resist blipping this wall of pink.        
The building in the background is the Civic Centre which is Cumbria’s most controversial building.  Apparently it often appears on an “ugliest buildings list” in the country and there was talk a couple of years ago of having it pulled down to make way for more shops.  An online petition was started to save it being knocked down and apparently nothing will happen for years!  I actually quite like it, its grown on me.
