Red letter box

Gordons Bay on a sunny (for a change - see yesterday) morning. Apart from the colour, I love the intrigue of these steps. Where do they go? Where have they come from?

The town was threatened by a huge veldt fire a couple of weeks ago and several houses high up on the mountain overlooking the Bay were burned out. Fortunately, the home served by these steps wasn't one of them.
