Between fen and mountains

Black swan

I went into work today and got a lot done in the space of a couple of hours, three delicate soldering jobs and a clock dismantled that I cleaned in the afternoon and will work on tomorrow.  I admired the CCTV system that C. has installed in the shop.  We had had a quote for £3500 from a security firm. Instead she bought the bits and installed it for a tenth of the price. I was impressed.  It even comes with a phone app so we can view inside the shop at night if the alarms go off or if a movement sensor is tripped.  I found time to walk to the ponds on the village nature reserve in the afternoon and saw this rather fine black swan.  I also reluctantly tackled the lawn which was a struggle as the grass is always damp at this time of the year so I had to unclog the mower every 25 metres.
