variations on a loaf of bread

This is the 5th in a series of experiments.  Judging by the reactions I’m getting, I think I may have cracked it.

This one is a mix of rye and strong wholemeal flour (50:50) with chocolate stout and water (again 50:50) and black treacle instead of sugar.

It’s risen more than the last one which I attribute to the beer reacting with the yeast.

My pal, Big Al, came round for a natter this morning.  I offered him a slice.  He took two.  I rest my case.
