A sharp start; to the Balmoral for 0730 to collect Baz and Herbie and then we all (inc. her) headed off to Strathblane for Johm Muir Way action. We abandoned my car there, and all piled into Weird Al's car and drove back to Croy to begin the 22km wander back to the car.

Not a great day, but dry, so we set off again on the Antonine Wall for a bit, over Bar Hill and an Iron Age fort plus some more Roman stuff and after a couple of miles dropped back onto the canal tow path.

Not the most engaging of walks, we trudged on, Baz /herb / Al / Gill in the rear as we forged on.

A coffee stop at Kirkintilloch and then onto the StrathKelvin cycle way which - again - hardly engaging - took us to back to Strathblane. No views of the Campsies as they were all happed in low cloud; done around 14.30 and then drove home; picked up G on the way, dropped her and then Baz; I finally got in nearer 6...

Hot bath, tikka masala leftovers from last night and some crap football catch up.
