A carpet of crocuses

Soon everyone will be tired of seeing snowdrops and crocuses on blip, but I cannot get enough of these tiny beauties, and as I am away next week I want to get as many photos of them now as by the time I get back they will probably be gone.

It is interesting to read of the study that predicts that by 2030 South Korean woman will have an average life expectancy of above 90 years of age, followed closely by women from France. Of all the wealthy countries the USA performs badly and is expected to have the lowest life expectancy by 2030. The thing is, ageing is not much fun and who really wants to live beyond that age without a full body transplant? But for now, it makes one wonder if  the French diet (think of buttery croissants, full fat cheeses) is better than the American diet (Big Macs, donuts)?!
