I wandered lonely as a cloud...

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

William Wordsworth

William was born just a few hundred yards from our cottage...It is well worth visiting Wordsworth House and Garden ( closed Fridays ).

Chloe and I were walking through the woods in Harris park, Cockermouth this morning when I spied these daffodils! Not bad for 22 February...

Fingers crossed that Storm Doris will not cause too much damage tomorrow.
