Lyttelton Harbour from the Summit Road

An appropriate field trip with NPSNZ today, walking along the part of the Summit Road closed since the Feb 2011 earthquake, exactly 6 years ago.  Not all of us had seen the rock fall, and damage to the road, which is now open to walkers and cyclists only.  It provides a brilliant recreational opportunity, a traffic-free road, with only a few rocks on it.
