Slugging it

I know they are a menace in British gardens, but our camouflage patterned kitchen slugs are happy to stay on ground level and play the role of living hoovers/recycling bins for food waste that drops on the floor.

Look at these teeth (or serrated jaw?)! We are lucky they are not bigger or carnivorous...
