The Warren

Today we attended the funeral of an old friend who I have known for 35 years and whose sister is a very close and special friend.

Although a very sad occasion we celebrated a very full and interesting life of a man who had lived and worked all over the world including Japan and Korea, who shunned the ex pat lifestyle and preferred to mix with local indiginous people., with whom he remained in contact.

The Wake took place at The Warren, a club owned by the Metropolitan Police for their employees and retired staff.

The beautiful manor house was built in 1882 as a private house in the Flemish style. There are two interesting Dr Who police boxes on site but unfortunately I inadvertently deleted the pics .

RIP Michael, you will be much missed.
