Chugging Along The Cam

A stroll by the river this afternoon. As it was lunchtime, not much was going on, just a couple of rowing boats, so I walked along the towpath to where the swans gather  hoping to be fed with  breadcrumbs. Suddenly they scattered as this barge appeared. In the distance is the fairly new cycle and footbridge leading to Chesterton. On a sunny day it is a longer but pleasant walk home across the meadows and nature reserve but it was quite dreary today and looked like rain was on the way.
