Pride of Madeira

This beautiful plant is very much the symbol of this delightful island.

Today has been relaxing and fun. We had a coffee morning (with Buck's Fizz and gossip) and this evening there's going to be a Cocktail Party.

For about three years friends have been telling me I should try a certain little place for a light and luxurious lunch. I decided to head off and see if I could walk there. After several pauses, I made it the kilometre or so and they were right.

Scabbard fish with a garnish including fresh flowers - and a nice glass of chilled white. (extra) It's called Cris' Place. I will be back.
