The warmest day of the year

...so far! It got to 17C which is warm for February - I went on a very long dog walk down to the village cemetery chapel and I got so hot in my jacket I had to take it off on the way home. There was lovely sunshine and blue skies this morning, and I liked the light on these grave stones.

I am pleased to notice that finally there are more birds coming to our bird feeders. Besides the ubiquitous fat pigeons, blackbirds, crows and magpies, I also noticed a sweet robin, some blue tits, a wagtail and best of all...a green parakeet. I have never seen these in our garden before but have seen them around here and in Bushy Park. I plan to take our birdfeeders when we move which will unsettle these poor birds.

Off to a committee meeting at school tonight, so I need to get a move on with other things now.
