Ripple marks

I have a piece of rock on my desk which I collected nearly 40 years ago in the Gardar Province of Greenland. You can clearly see the ripple effects caused by water lapping over the sands. (Similar to low tide sands on a modern beach). These ripple marks are around 1300 million years old. (UK £1 coin for scale).
