Dance cards from the 1920s

Do you remember when you went to a dance in the 1920s and everuone got a card and you went round filling your card?

I don't either. But that's what they did... One of my friends was landed gentry and I was given his cards.... no clues in there but you were not supposed to dance with anyone you really liked more than twice as it was suspicious. Or something like that!
