Crud
Here we go again.
Local council elections in May. The first piece of campaign crud came through the letterbox today.
It's only interesting because it's from the Tories, and then only because they didn't even run a candidate last time (2012). The content is totally uninteresting, of course.
My ward has 3 councillors - one each from the SNP, Labour and Liberal Democrats. The LibDem is running again and the SNP bloke is retiring. Under our single transferable vote system, predicting trends (never mind outcomes) requires degrees in political science and software design.
So much has changed in Scottish politics since 2012, of course. The current trend in by-elections is for the Tories to pick up a lot of former Labour voters. In the latest opinion poll UKIP was on 0%.
