It is getting warmer!

Always a sign of rising temperatures when the winter aconites open up their flowers despite being one of the first plants to burst through the ground. Apparently they need it to be 10C before the buds open up - a bit like myself they love sunshine!

Today they were covered in bees with lots of pollination going on.  I used to wonder why every year there was such a carpet of them despite being disturbed and many little bulbs dug up till I discovered they spread by producing seeds - so the bees were doing a good job to keep the garden nice and yellow at this time of year.
