Show us your mussels!

I wanted to show Mamashaz how beautiful and lush Scotland is, and to also introduce her to the amazing seafood that this country has on offer. So, off we went to Oban for a couple of days of island hopping.

We spent a day visting Mull, Iona and Staffa, and were greeted with beautiful weather and sunshine.

In this pic, we had stopped in Iona for lunch at the Argyll Hotel and had an amazing dish of mussels cooked in a broth of cider, leeks and lovage. They were so fresh and tender, absolutely amazing. Beautiful views of the bay from the restaurant, too. Highly recommended!
