Determination

This is Nazmiye Muslu from Turkey. She was powerlifting in the 40kg category. Not only did she get the paralympic record of 106kg, she then went on to get a new world record of 109kg (That is nearly 3 times her own weight!)

It was a brilliant atmosphere, which was heightened when GB powerlifter, Zoe Newson, got bronze




It's been a fab but extremely exhausting day photographing at the paralympics. I even managed some wheelchair basketball, cycling and judo. I choose this photo though, because I think it sums up the dedication and determination these athletes have
