The Old Tip Site....

Many years ago the refuse tip at this site was covered with suitable soil, grass seed and trees. There is a network of tracks for walking and mountain biking through the area and this summer the golden dried grasses were shoulder-high in some places. Then a month ago an arsonist set fire to the area and most of the ground was burnt to earth level. New grass is making the burnt area green again but the effects of the fire smell very strongly.
