Short Visit

This heron didn't stay long once the rain started.  I think it rained all day but the ducks weren't deterred.  I have two pair of mallards who haunt my door for bread and two Canada geese who have figured out the routine.  Feeding geese is not encouraged but nobody ever said anything about feeding the ducks.  I have to check in all directions to see that the geese are elsewhere before tossing bread out to the ducks.  Sometimes it works and sometimes the geese just appear out of nowhere.  I haven't figured out where they hide but they're getting very good at hiding until the bread shows up.  I hate to be outwitted by wildlife.
