Santa Rosa Blipmeet
We met In Bellingham in May of 2013, and have now met again here in Santa Rosa. Many people have written about how getting together with fellow Blippers is like getting together with old friends...we just pick up without missing a beat. The thing that strikes me about this shot, taken by our son Matthew, is that it really does look like one of those 'separated at birth' photos...We had a lovely evening together and hope to meet up again before they head back to Washington..
Our son, Matthew drove up from Los Angeles yesterday in torrential rain, stopping in San Luis Obispo to pick up grandson Will. The hope is to have a family golf tournament, during this holiday weekend, but the weather isn't likely to cooperate. In fact there is a new term for the the kind of weather we are having...'bombogenesis'*. Poor Connections and Philpo couldn't have known that the weather in California would be so bad that a new term has been invented to describe it..
We had a nice break in the weather today and noticed that everywhere we went, everybody was doing the same thing we were doing,...getting as much done outside as possible before the bombogenesis returns tomorrow or Monday..
*a 'weather bomb' in which the central pressure of a low pressure system must drop at least 24 millibars within 24 hours.
